Ek het in Oktober 2007 'n suksesvolle foto-tentoonstelling met die tema "In die tussen" gehad. Die heelal bestaan uit 'n reeks gebeurtenisse – alles vloei ononderbroke. My foto's is egter bevrore momente. Daarom: "In die tussen".
Ek is hiertoe geïnspireer deur my ervaring wanneer ek dans. So kan daar 'n stilte tussen twee musieknote wees wat 'n soort magiese oomblik word. Dit kan egter nie van die geheel geïsoleer nie, maar slegs ervaar en ontdek word; 'n mens beland as 't ware
daarin.Dit is sulke magiese momente in die lewe van elke dag wat my interesseer en wat ek met my kuns probeer blootlê. Wanneer iemand na een van my foto's kyk, kan hy dit slegs as so 'n moment ontdek omdat hy ook dit wat voor en ná en rondom die prentjie is, ontwaar.
Die paradoksale is egter dat die oomblik op die foto self ook voor, ná en rondom is – 'n punt tussen ander punte. Dit sluit nie net die tydlyn nie, maar ook ruimte in.

The universe consists of a series of events – everything flows unceasingly. Yet, my photographs are frozen moments. Hence: "In the between".
The inspiration for this came from my experience when dancing. Thus there can be a silence between two musical notes that becomes a kind of magical moment. It can not, however, be isolated, but can only be experienced and discovered; one finds oneself in it, so to speak.
It is magical moments like these in everyday life that interest me, and which I try to uncover in my art. When someone looks at one of my photo's, he can only discover it as such a moment because he also perceives that which is before and after and around it.
Yet, the paradox is that the moment on the picture is itself also before, after and around – a point between points. This includes not only the time line, but also space.
